Beat ’Em & Eat ’Em is an infamous adult game released by Mystique for the Atari 2600 in 1982. In this highly controversial arcade-style title, players move two characters back and forth across the ground to catch items falling from a rooftop above before they hit the pavement.
How to play
The objective is to catch the falling objects to score points; missing an item costs you a life, and the game ends when all lives are lost. The gameplay heavily resembles Kaboom!, requiring fast reflexes as the drop speed steadily increases over time.

Tips
- Toggling to paddle mode (Alt+L) can provide much smoother and faster horizontal movement than standard joystick controls, which is essential as the game speeds up.
- Focus your eyes midway up the screen rather than on the characters at the bottom, as it gives you more time to anticipate the trajectory of the falling items.
