🎮 Play Armed Formation Online (Arcade)

Armed Formation (often known simply as Armed F) is a fast-paced vertical shoot ’em up released for arcades by Nichibutsu in 1988. Set in the distant future where a strange point in the galaxy threatens to open a black hole, you pilot the Vowger spacecraft to eliminate the source of the disturbance. The game’s signature mechanic is its “Armor” power-up system, which allows you to change your ship’s attack patterns and weapon formations on the fly, even reversing formations to cover a wide firing range.

How to Play

Pilot the Vowger and destroy enemy waves before they overwhelm you. Use the directional keys to move. Press Z to fire your primary weapon and X to deploy or reverse your armor formations when collected. Experiment with different formations to adapt your attack range to incoming threats.

Tips

• Mastering the reverse formation is crucial for dealing with enemies that attack from the sides and rear.
• Your hitbox is larger than you might expect for a vertical shooter; give yourself extra room when dodging bullet spreads.
