Game description:

Tecmo Super Baseball brings the signature arcade-sports action of the legendary Tecmo series to the diamond. Released in 1994 for the SNES, this MLBPA-licensed title features over 700 real professional players from the 1993 season, complete with their authentic stats and attributes. While it lacks official MLB team names, it makes up for it with comprehensive stat-tracking, deep roster management, and the cinematic cutscenes Tecmo is famous for.

How to Play

Take control of your team through a full season, managing the roster and mastering both pitching and batting. On the SNES, use the D-pad to move or aim pitches, and the A/B/X/Y buttons to swing, throw to specific bases, or dive for the ball (mapped to the arrow keys and Z/X/A/S on your keyboard, with Enter for Start and Shift for Select).

Tips

  • Check the Stats: Player attributes matter heavily. Always review your lineup before a game to ensure your best hitters are facing the right type of pitcher.
  • Outfield Defense: Practice timing your jumps and dives. A well-timed leap at the wall can rob a home run, which is essential against power-hitting teams.
