Another World, released for the Super Nintendo in 1993 by Interplay and Delphine Software, is a pioneering cinematic action-adventure game. You play as Lester Knight Chaykin, a young physicist whose particle experiment goes wrong, teleporting him to a hostile alien planet where he must survive deadly creatures and armed guards with the help of a captive native.
How to Play
To play this SNES title in your browser, use your keyboard’s arrow keys to move. Use the Z and X keys (acting as the SNES face buttons) to run, jump, and fire your weapon. The Enter and Shift keys handle Start and Select.
Tips
- Your laser blaster has three modes. A quick tap fires a standard shot, holding the button briefly generates a temporary defensive shield, and holding it longer unleashes a charged blast that destroys walls and enemy shields.
- Timing is everything. Combat and platforming rely on precise memorization and quick reflexes rather than a health bar, so expect to learn through trial and error.
