RealSports Tennis is a classic sports title released by Atari in 1983 for the Atari 2600. As part of Atari’s RealSports line aimed at delivering more competitive sports simulations, this game offers a full view of the tennis court. You can play a fast-paced singles match against a computer opponent or go head-to-head against a second player in local multiplayer.
How to play
The objective is to win the match by outscoring your opponent using traditional tennis rules. Use the joystick to position your player on the court, and press the fire button to swing your racket and hit the ball back over the net.

Tips
- Return to center: After making a shot, try to move back toward the center of the baseline. This positioning gives you the best chance to reach returns hit to either side.
- Time your swing: Don’t press the button too early or too late. Wait for the ball to reach your player’s side to ensure a solid hit.
