Developed by TOSE and published in the US by Taxan, Mappy-Land is a 1989 platformer for the NES. This console-exclusive sequel to the arcade classic Mappy puts you back in the shoes of the titular police mouse as you navigate themed areas to collect items for your family while avoiding the Meowkies.
The objective is to collect six specific items in each stage before time runs out. Unlike traditional platformers, you cannot jump freely; instead, you bounce on trampolines to move between floors and use special items to distract enemies. Control Mappy using the arrow keys to move, Z or X to use items, and Enter to start the game.
Remember that trampolines change color each time you bounce on them and will break if they turn red, so always plan your routes carefully. Save your distraction items like cat toys and bowling balls for when you are cornered by multiple Meowkies.
