World Series Baseball ’95 brings authentic Major League Baseball to the Sega Genesis. Developed by BlueSky Software and released in 1995, this sports simulation builds upon its predecessor with updated rosters, precise pitching mechanics, and its signature behind-the-batter perspective that provides an immersive view of the strike zone.
How to Play
Take your chosen team through a full season, an exhibition match, or a home run derby. When batting, you must aim your swing reticle to match the incoming pitch. When fielding, coordinate your throws to tag out runners and prevent them from scoring.
- D-pad / Arrow Keys: Aim pitch, aim swing, move fielders, or highlight bases.
- A Button / Z Key: Swing the bat, throw a pitch, or throw to a highlighted base.
- B Button / X Key: Advance runners or attempt a steal.
- C Button / C Key: Speed burst while fielding or running bases.
- Start / Enter: Pause the game or confirm selections.
Tips
- Watch the pitcher’s hand: When batting, carefully track the ball directly from the pitcher’s release point and immediately move your reticle to match its path.
- Work the corners: Don’t throw everything down the middle. Use off-speed pitches and aim for the edges of the strike zone to get batters to swing and miss.
