Game description:

World Cup Striker is a fast-paced arcade soccer game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. Developed by Rage Software, the game is also known as Elite Soccer in North America. It features an isometric perspective and allows players to compete in friendly matches, custom tournaments, or a full World Cup campaign against international teams.

How to Play

The objective is to outscore the opposing team before time runs out. In the browser emulator, the SNES controls are mapped to your keyboard:

  • Arrow Keys: Move your active player (mapped to the D-pad).
  • Z, X, A, S Keys: Pass, shoot, sprint, and tackle (mapped to the SNES B, A, Y, and X buttons).
  • Enter / Shift: Pause the game or confirm menu selections (mapped to Start and Select).

Tips

  • Use the radar at the bottom of the screen to track player positioning, making it easier to spot open teammates for long passes.
  • Sliding tackles are highly effective for winning the ball back, but mistiming them can result in fouls or leave your defense completely exposed.
