Game description:

Wiz ‘n’ Liz: The Frantic Wabbit Wescue is a remarkably fast-paced platformer released for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed by Raising Hell Software (later known as Bizarre Creations) and published by Psygnosis. Players take on the role of the titular wizards, racing against a strict countdown to rescue their scattered “wabbits” across various themed worlds. The game is celebrated for its incredible speed, tight controls, and the unique mechanic of mixing collected fruit in a cauldron to create helpful (or sometimes bizarre) spells, mini-games, and bonuses.

How to Play

The main objective is to run through each stage as quickly as possible, collecting floating wabbits to extend your timer and spawn the exit door before time runs out. The Sega Genesis controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to move and crouch, Z, X, or C to jump and interact, and Enter for Start. The faster you clear a stage, the better your score and rewards.

Tips

  • Mix that fruit: Don’t hoard your collected fruit. Throw them into your cauldron between levels; combining different colors unlocks extra time, hidden minigames, and powerful spells.
  • Keep moving: Wiz ‘n’ Liz is all about momentum. Only stop when absolutely necessary to grab a wabbit or fruit, as the timer is unforgiving.
