Wily Tower is a classic 1984 arcade platformer by Irem, sometimes known as Atomic Boy. In this vertically scrolling challenge, you control a character navigating a complex lattice of pipes. Your primary objective is to climb the structure and deactivate power switches for a main computer, all while dodging an array of relentless robotic enemies.
How to Play
Use the directional keys to move your character around the pipes, and use your action buttons (typically Z or X in the browser) to jump. To defend yourself, jump onto the various generators scattered across the level. This releases “disrupters”—bolts of electricity that travel along the pipes to destroy enemy robots. Keep an eye on your resources, as each generator only holds a limited number of charges.
Tips
- Watch for Super Robots: Certain enemies are tougher than the standard grunts. “Super robots” require two disrupter hits to defeat, so plan your attacks carefully.
- Manage Your Generators: Since generator charges are strictly limited, try not to waste electricity on single, easily avoidable enemies.
