Van-Van Car is a 1983 arcade maze game developed by Sanritsu and distributed in Europe by Karateco. Viewed from an overhead perspective, you take the wheel of a yellow race car equipped with a front-mounted spike, navigating the grid to burst every balloon on the screen before the time limit expires while dodging three pursuit vehicles.
How to Play
Use the directional controls to steer your vehicle through the maze. A jump button allows you to leap over enemy cars, gaps, and balloons. If you burst an “E” energy balloon, your car is armed with a missile; pressing the jump button will fire it, instantly destroying any balloons or enemies in its path.
Tips
- Enemy cars drop oil slicks on the track. Driving over them causes your car to spin and speed up, making precise turns difficult, so steer clear.
- When exactly eight balloons remain in the maze, a special bonus balloon will appear. Bursting it awards massive extra points for the remaining balloons you clear.
