Tora e no Michi, released in 1987, is the original Japanese arcade version of Capcom’s side-scrolling action platformer, better known in the West as Tiger Road. You take on the role of Lee Wong, a warrior armed with a double-headed axe, on a difficult quest to rescue kidnapped children from the villain Ryu Ken Ou. The game blends precise platforming with intense beat ’em up combat across varied stages.
How to Play
Your objective is to fight through hordes of enemies, defeat bosses, and find the kidnapped children in each area. You can pick up different weapons like a spear or mace along the way. To play this arcade classic in your browser, use the Arrow keys to move and jump, and press Z and X for your attack and jump actions. Press Shift (Coin) and Enter (Start) to begin.
Tips
Take your time navigating platforms, as falling into pits or traps is just as dangerous as the enemies. When you reach a boss, observe their attack pattern before committing to close-range strikes, as your reach is limited unless you find a longer weapon.
