Tom and Jerry: The Movie is a 1992 platformer developed by SIMS for the Sega Master System. Despite carrying the film’s title, the game ignores the movie’s plot entirely, instead offering a classic cat-and-mouse chase where you control Tom in pursuit of Jerry. Spanning six distinct stages including the Kitchen, Downtown, and the Baby’s Room, this version features completely different level designs compared to its Game Gear counterpart.
How to Play
Your objective is to guide Tom through each level, avoiding hazards and overcoming platforming challenges to catch up with Jerry. In your browser, use the Arrow keys to move Tom, press Z or X to jump and perform actions (mapping to the Master System’s 1 and 2 buttons), and use Enter to pause or start the game.
Tips
- Keep an eye out during the Downtown stages to spot hidden cameos from other classic Sega characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog and Opa-Opa.
- If you need extra help, a cheat menu can be accessed using the second player’s controls at the title screen. Press Down, Down-Right, Right, 1, Down, Down-Left, Left, 2 to unlock infinite health and a level select.
