Game description:

Timecop (Europe) is a side-scrolling action beat ’em up game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. Developed by Cryo Interactive and published by JVC, it is based on the science fiction film of the same name. Players take on the role of Max Walker, an officer of the Time Enforcement Commission, as he travels through various historical eras to stop criminals from altering the timeline. The game features hand-to-hand martial arts combat, platforming elements, and digitized graphics characteristic of the era.

How to Play

The objective is to fight through each time period, defeating enemies and bosses to preserve the timeline. In the browser, the standard SNES controls are mapped to your keyboard:

  • D-pad (Arrow Keys): Move Max
  • B (X): Jump
  • Y (Z): Punch / Attack
  • A (S): Kick
  • X (A): Special action / Use item
  • L/R (Q/W): Block / Defensive moves
  • Start (Enter): Pause
  • Select (Shift): Switch weapons

Tips

  • Mastering Max’s sweep kick and jump attacks is essential for managing multiple enemies approaching from both sides of the screen.
  • Conserve your ammunition and special weapons for boss fights and tougher enemy encounters later in the levels.
