Tic Tac Toe is a classic multiplayer puzzle game released for DOS in 1982 by International PC Owners. It offers a straightforward digital adaptation of the traditional paper-and-pencil game, allowing two players to compete against each other directly on a PC.
How to play
The objective is to be the first player to form a continuous horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of three of your marks (either X or O) on the 3×3 grid. Players take turns placing their marks in empty squares. The game is controlled using the standard keyboard inputs typical for MS-DOS titles of the era. For the best experience, you can toggle fullscreen mode by pressing Right Alt + Enter.
Tips
- Control the center: Taking the center square on your first move gives you the most opportunities to create winning lines.
- Watch the corners: If the center is taken, aim for the corners to set up potential traps or multiple winning paths.
- Force a block: Try to create a situation where your opponent must block your immediate threat, allowing you to build an unblockable winning setup on your next turn.
