Thunderbirds – Kokusai Kyuujotai Shutsudou seyo! (translated as International Rescue, Move Out!) is a sci-fi action game released for the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1993 by Cobra Team. Based on the classic British television series, the game puts players in command of the iconic International Rescue fleet. You pilot different craft—such as Thunderbirds 1, 2, and 4—through various side-scrolling and vertically scrolling shooter stages to respond to global emergencies and thwart the schemes of the villainous Hood.

How to play

The objective shifts depending on the mission and which Thunderbird vehicle you are piloting, though gameplay largely focuses on shoot 'em up mechanics where you must navigate hazards, destroy obstacles, and reach the rescue zone. For the SNES controls, use the D-pad to steer your craft. Press the A and B buttons to fire your primary weapons and deploy vehicle-specific tools. Start pauses the game.
