R.C. Pro-Am II is a 1992 isometric racing game developed by Rare for the NES. Up to four players race remote-controlled cars across varied tracks, collecting cash and letters to upgrade their vehicles while battling opponents with an arsenal of weapons.
How to Play
The goal is to finish in the top three to advance to the next track while earning money to buy upgrades like better motors, tires, and weapons. In the browser, use the Arrow Keys to steer your RC car. Press Z to accelerate and X to fire weapons. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Collect the letters to spell “PRO AM” to earn an upgraded vehicle. The upgrades drastically improve your top speed and handling.
- Save your cash for essential upgrades like motors and tires early on rather than spending it all on weapons, as keeping up with the pack is critical in later races.
- Stay clear of water hazards and oil slicks, which will cause your car to spin out and lose valuable time.
