The King of Fighters 2003 is a classic 2D fighting game released for Arcade systems in 2003 by SNK Playmore. As the tenth installment in the legendary KOF series, it marks the beginning of the Ash Saga and overhauls the traditional 3-on-3 formula by introducing the “Multi-Shift” system, which allows players to tag in teammates freely during matches. This particular version is based on an alternative bootleg arcade set.
How to Play
Select a team of three fighters and defeat your opponents in fast-paced tag-team combat. Your goal is to deplete the health bars of all three opposing team members before the timer runs out.
- Movement: Arrow Keys
- Light Punch (A): Z
- Light Kick (B): X
- Strong Punch (C): C
- Strong Kick (D): V
- Insert Coin: Shift
- Start: Enter
Tips
- Multi-Shift System: Take advantage of the tag mechanics to switch characters mid-combo. This costs one level of your power gauge but is excellent for extending damage and keeping the pressure on.
- Choose Your Leader: When selecting your team, you must designate one fighter as the “Leader.” The Leader is the only team member who can execute devastating Leader Super Special Moves, so choose a character you are most comfortable with.
