Released in 1990, The Combatribes Bootleg Set 1 is an alternate arcade release of the classic beat ’em up originally developed by Technōs Japan. This version preserves the intense, arena-based brawling where players control one of three cyborg vigilantes fighting ruthless street gangs to take back New York City.

How to Play

Clear each area of gang members to trigger the boss fight and progress to the next stage. In the browser, arcade controls typically map to the Arrow Keys for movement, Shift to insert a coin, Enter to start, and Z and X for your primary Punch and Kick actions.

Tips

• Dash into enemies by quickly tapping forward twice to knock down crowds before they can surround you.
