Game description:

Terra Force is a 1987 arcade shoot ’em up developed by Nichibutsu. Following in the footsteps of titles like Moon Cresta, it distinguishes itself by seamlessly alternating between vertical and horizontal scrolling stages. You pilot a starfighter equipped with forward-firing lasers and ground-targeting bombs to navigate through relentless enemy formations and massive bosses. Note: This specific version is noted for having imperfect graphics in emulation.

How to Play

Your objective is to survive the shifting scrolling stages and defeat the end-level bosses. The arcade controls involve an 8-way joystick for movement, one button to fire your main weapon against airborne enemies, and a second button to drop bombs on ground targets. Collect power-ups dropped by specific enemies to upgrade your weapons and gain a tactical advantage.

Tips

  • Prioritize ground targets that fire spread shots, as their projectiles can quickly overwhelm the screen.
  • Learn the transitions between vertical and horizontal scrolling segments, as the shift in perspective requires adjusting your dodging strategies.
