Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is Konami’s 1989 arcade beat ’em up based on the hit cartoon, and this is the “Oceania 2 Players” release — a two-player revision of the original four-player cabinet. Choose Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael and fight your way through the Foot Clan’s ranks across a series of side-scrolling city stages, working up to a gauntlet of boss fights against Rocksteady, Bebop, Baxter Stockman, Granitor, General Traag, Krang, and finally Shredder himself.

How to Play

Clear each stage by beating down waves of Foot Clan soldiers and mutant enemies, then survive the boss fight that caps it off. The arcade original uses an 8-way joystick and two buttons; in the browser that maps to the arrow keys for movement and Z / X for the two attack buttons, with Enter to start and Shift to insert a coin.

Tips

• Keep attacking a downed enemy rather than letting it get back up — Foot soldiers swarm fast if you let them recover.
• Bosses like Rocksteady and Bebop repeat a small set of charge and weapon attacks, so watch one pattern through before committing to a punish.
• This is a co-op brawler by design — with a second player, split up to stop enemies from surrounding either Turtle.
