Super Uno is the 1993 Japanese adaptation of the classic shedding-type card game, released for the Super Famicom (SNES). The game faithfully translates the fast-paced competitive rules of Uno into a digital format, letting you play against up to three AI opponents. How to play
The objective is to discard all of your cards before your opponents. You must remember to manually call “Uno” before playing your second-to-last card, or you will be penalized with extra cards if caught. Standard SNES controls apply: use the D-pad to navigate your hand, press the A or B button to select and play a card, and use the X or Y button to call “Uno” when required.
Tips
- Save your Wild cards: Wild and Wild Draw Four cards are your most powerful tools. Hold onto them for emergencies when you don’t have a matching color or number, or to change the color to one you dominate.
- Watch opponent card counts: Keep an eye on how many cards the AI players have left. If an opponent is down to a few cards, change the color away from their likely preference or hit them with a Draw card to extend the round.
