Super Chinese 2: Dragon Kid is a hybrid action-RPG released for the NES in 1989 by Culture Brain. Known in the West as Little Ninja Brothers, this Japanese release blends traditional top-down RPG town exploration with side-scrolling, beat-’em-up combat. Players guide Jack and Ryu through the land of Chinaland to defeat the evil Blueman clan, exploring an overworld map, buying equipment, and battling enemies in real-time arcade encounters.
How to Play
On the overworld map, navigate between towns and dungeons using the D-pad. When you encounter enemies, the game shifts to a side-scrolling arena. Use the D-pad to move, press A to jump or perform acrobatic flips, and B to punch or use your equipped weapons. In towns, press A to talk to NPCs or purchase upgrades.
Default browser controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to jump/confirm, X to attack/cancel, Enter for Start, and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Keep moving in combat: Enemies can easily gang up on you. Constantly use acrobatic jumps to reposition yourself or escape when surrounded.
- Upgrade early: Spend your hard-earned Sen (money) at the convenience stores on better weapons and armor before venturing into tougher areas.
