Step into the boots of a bounty hunter in Sunset Riders, Konami’s 1993 Wild West run-and-gun action shooter for the Sega Genesis. Famous for its vibrant art style, fast-paced side-scrolling gameplay, and memorable boss encounters, players shoot their way through towns, trains, and horseback chases to collect rewards on the most wanted outlaws in the West.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the end of each level and defeat the wanted outlaw boss while avoiding enemy bullets, stampedes, and stage hazards. Shoot in eight directions to eliminate threats, and collect silver and gold badges to upgrade your weapon with rapid fire or dual-wielding.

Tips
- Slide to survive: Press down and jump simultaneously to perform a slide. This maneuver is essential for dodging high bullets and slipping past obstacles safely.
- Shoot diagonally: Outlaws often ambush you from elevated positions like balconies and rooftops. Angling your fire diagonally while moving is key to crowd control.
- Stay mobile during bosses: Bosses have predictable but wide-reaching attack patterns. Focus on maneuvering to avoid their fire and only shoot when you have a clear opening.
