Game description:

Street Fighter Zero is a seminal 2D fighting game released for the Arcade in 1995 by Capcom. Serving as a prequel to Street Fighter II, this entry introduces new mechanics, a revamped anime-inspired visual style, and a roster blending classic fighters with new faces and characters from Final Fight.

How to Play

The objective is to deplete your opponent’s health bar by executing a variety of normal attacks, special moves, and Super Combos before the timer runs out. Win two out of three rounds to advance to the next match. Since this is an Arcade title, insert a virtual coin and press Start to begin.

  • Movement: Use the directional controls to move, jump, and crouch.
  • Attacks: Use the three punch buttons (Light, Medium, Heavy) and three kick buttons (Light, Medium, Heavy) to attack.
  • Blocking: Hold the directional input away from your opponent to block incoming high or mid attacks, and hold down-back to block low attacks.

Tips

  • Super Combos: Keep an eye on your Super Combo gauge at the bottom of the screen. It can build up to three levels, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks by performing the required input along with one, two, or three attack buttons to determine the strength of the Super Combo.
  • Alpha Counters: You can break your opponent’s offensive pressure by using an Alpha Counter. While blocking an attack, press forward and the same strength punch and kick buttons simultaneously (requires at least one level of the Super Combo gauge).
  • Air Blocking: Street Fighter Zero introduces the ability to block while jumping. Use this defensively to protect yourself against anti-air attacks or projectiles while closing the distance.
