Street Fighter Zero 2 (released as Street Fighter Alpha 2 in the West) is a legendary 1996 2D fighting game developed by Capcom for the Arcade. Building upon the foundation of the original game, this sequel refined the combat mechanics with the introduction of the Custom Combo system and brought an expanded roster of fighters, including the debut of Sakura alongside returning classics like Dhalsim and Zangief.
How to Play
The objective is to defeat your opponent in a best-of-three martial arts bout by completely depleting their health bar. As an arcade title, you will first need to “Insert Coin” (typically mapped to Shift or 5) and press Start (Enter or 1). Use the Arrow Keys to move, jump, and crouch. Attacks use a 6-button layout for light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks, usually mapped to keys like Z, X, C and A, S, D.
Tips
- Master Custom Combos: When your super meter is filled to at least level one, press two punch and one kick button (or two kicks and one punch) simultaneously to activate a Custom Combo. This allows you to quickly string together attacks that wouldn’t normally link.
- Use Alpha Counters: If you are stuck blocking a relentless opponent, press forward and an attack button while blocking to perform an Alpha Counter. This consumes a level of your super meter but pushes the opponent away, breaking their pressure.
