Game description:

Developed by Capcom and released in 1992, Street Fighter II brought the definitive arcade fighting experience to the Sega Genesis. You select from a roster of global martial artists and enter a worldwide tournament, where mastering a mix of normal attacks and precise special moves is essential to defeat your opponents and reach the final boss, M. Bison.

How to play

The objective is to deplete your opponent’s health bar by landing strikes and special moves, winning two rounds to take the match. You move, jump, block (by holding away from your opponent), and crouch using the arrow keys. Your primary attacks are mapped to the S, X, and Z keys, corresponding to the Genesis controller’s A, B, and C buttons. Enter acts as Start to begin the game, and Shift acts as the Mode button.

Tips

  • When playing as Ryu or Ken, mastering the quarter-circle forward motion for the Hadouken (fireball) is essential for controlling the space between you and your opponent.
  • Crouching and holding back on the directional pad allows you to block most incoming attacks while remaining a smaller target, protecting you from both low sweeps and high jump-ins.
  • Throwing is an effective way to deal damage if your opponent is blocking too much; simply walk right up to them and press a strong attack button while holding forward or backward.
