Game description:

Star Gladiator – Episode 1: Final Crusade is a 1996 sci-fi 3D weapon-based fighting game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. As Capcom’s first foray into in-house 3D fighting games, it brings a distinct futuristic setting where characters wield glowing plasma weapons to decide the fate of the galaxy.

How to Play

The objective is to defeat your opponent in 1v1 combat by depleting their health bar or knocking them out of the ring. The game uses a four-button layout: Horizontal Attack, Vertical Attack, Kick, and Guard. Use the D-pad for movement, including double-tapping to dash or sidestep to dodge incoming strikes. In the browser, these map to standard PlayStation emulation controls.

Tips

  • Plasma Reverses: When an opponent attacks, timing your guard just right allows you to perform a powerful counter-attack called a Plasma Reverse.
  • Ring Outs: Positioning is critical. You can win a round instantly by knocking your opponent off the edge of the arena, so stay aware of the boundaries.
  • Plasma Combos: Focus on chaining horizontal and vertical attacks into fast, pre-programmed combos to break through the enemy’s defenses.
