Space Station Silicon Valley is a highly inventive 1998 puzzle-platformer developed by DMA Design for the Nintendo 64. You play as Evo, a sentient microchip whose robot body is destroyed upon crash-landing on a bizarre, futuristic space station. To survive, you must physically take control of the station’s robotic animal inhabitantsโranging from rocket-firing foxes to floating sheepโusing each animal’s unique abilities to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and collect missing spaceship parts.
How to Play
Your main objective is to navigate the station’s environments by possessing different robot animals to overcome specific obstacles. When an animal is defeated, Evo can eject and take over its shell. Since this is a Nintendo 64 title, you navigate using the arrow keys (mapping the analog stick), jump with the Z/X keys (representing A/B), and use the Enter key for Start. Each possessed animal has its own primary and secondary attacks mapped to these action buttons.
Tips
- Evo is extremely vulnerable when outside of a robot shell; quickly jump into a deactivated animal before his energy depletes.
- Experiment with every new animal you find. Puzzles are often designed around the specific abilities of the creatures available in that area, such as using a heavy animal to press down switches or a flying one to cross gaps.
- Some animals have elemental weaknesses or strengths (like water rusting certain chassis), so choose your shell carefully depending on the terrain.
