Taito’s iconic 1978 action shooter Space Invaders defined the arcade era and later saw this faithful home port for the Sega SG-1000. Taking control of a lone laser cannon, you must defend Earth against relentless, descending waves of alien ships before they can breach your defenses.
How to play
Your goal is to destroy every alien in the formation before they reach the bottom of the screen. You can hide behind defensive bunkers, but they will take damage from both enemy fire and your own shots.

Tips
- Shoot the mystery saucer that occasionally moves across the top of the screen for bonus points.
- Target the columns at the edges of the formation first; this delays the invaders from reaching the edges and dropping down a row.
- Be prepared for the invaders to move faster as their numbers dwindle, requiring quicker reflexes to hit the final few ships.
