Released by Atari in 1983, Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an action game for the Atari 2600 based on the classic Disney animated segment. You control Mickey Mouse across two different screens as he tries to manage his magical chores and prevent a catastrophic flood.
How to play
The game is split into two phases. On the upper screen, you move Mickey and shoot falling stars to stop them from reaching the ground, which prevents new brooms from spawning. On the lower screen, you must intercept the marching brooms to stop them from emptying buckets of water, and bail out the rising floodwater before it reaches the top.

Tips
- Focus heavily on the falling stars on the first screen; every star that slips past creates another broom you have to deal with below.
- Don’t wait too long to switch to the lower screen. If you let the brooms march unchecked, the water level will rise extremely fast.
