Sonic & Knuckles is a classic 1994 action platformer developed by SEGA for the Sega Genesis. How to play

For Sonic, pressing jump in mid-air activates a brief shield; for Knuckles, holding jump mid-air allows him to glide. To perform a spin dash, hold down and tap jump rapidly before releasing.

• Use the elemental shields: When playing as Sonic, the Fire, Water, and Lightning shields offer unique abilities like a mid-air dash, bounce, or double jump, while also providing environmental protections.
• Take advantage of Knuckles’ paths: Knuckles can break through certain obstacles that Sonic cannot, and his climbing ability lets you explore completely different sections of the levels.
• Hunt for giant rings: Search carefully behind false walls and hidden passages to find giant rings, which take you to the Blue Spheres special stages needed to collect the Chaos Emeralds.
