SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom Super Plus is an unofficial bootleg hack of SNK Playmore’s 2003 arcade crossover fighter SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom, built for Neo Geo MVS hardware. The original game pits a roster of 24 selectable SNK and Capcom fighters against each other using a command system borrowed from The King of Fighters, with a dozen extra boss characters normally locked away behind secret button codes. This Super Plus hack rewrites that character-select screen so every mid-boss and final boss – including Shin Akuma, Serious Mr. Karate, Athena, and Red Arremer – can simply be picked from the start, no codes required.
How to play: Matches are one-on-one bouts controlled with an 8-way joystick and four attack buttons – light punch, strong punch, light kick, and strong kick – the same layout used across The King of Fighters series. Landing or blocking hits fills a three-level Power Gauge that can be spent on Super Special Moves, a Guard Cancel Attack, or the Front Grand Step, a forward dash that cancels out of blockstun. Empty the opponent’s health bar before the clock runs out to win the round.
Tips: Several of the newly unlocked bosses are far stronger than the standard roster – Athena especially can win rounds just by spamming her specials – so fights involving them tend to be lopsided; treat playing as a boss more as a novelty than a fair match. If you’re picking this version specifically for its unlocked bosses, note that Geese Howard’s and Zero’s sound effects are missing, a known quirk of this particular hack.
