Sangokushi II: San Jian Sheng is a Chinese bootleg (set 1, internally dated 921005) of Capcom’s 1992 arcade beat ’em up, best known internationally as Warriors of Fate and in Japan as Tenchi wo Kurau II: Sekiheki no Tatakai. Set during the fall of the Han dynasty, it’s Capcom’s third game based on the Tenchi wo Kurau manga, sending a band of legendary Chinese generals across a war-torn map to reclaim their homeland.
How to play: Move with an 8-way joystick and fight with two buttons, Attack and Jump. Choose one of five playable warriors, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Huang Zhong, or Wei Yan, each armed with a different weapon and fighting style, and clear soldiers using hand-to-hand strikes, weapon swings, throws, and horseback charges.
Tips: Walk into an enemy while attacking to grab and throw them, a fast way to clear space when surrounded. Watch for the game’s oddball sub-stages, including a food-eating contest and a stage where you smash wooden training statues, which break up the standard brawling.
