Rush Crash is a top-down vehicular combat arcade game released in Japan by Capcom in 1986 (often known in Western markets as The Speed Rumbler). Players jump into an armed buggy to race through enemy territory, shooting through heavily defended strongholds. The game stands out for its seamless transition between driving and on-foot action; if your vehicle takes too much damage, you can eject and continue the fight on foot until you hijack a new ride.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive the enemy onslaught and reach the end of each stage before time runs out. Since this is an Arcade release running in the browser, first insert a coin (usually the 5 or Shift key) and press Start (1 or Enter). Steer your vehicle or walk using the arrow keys, and use the primary action buttons (Z, X, C, or Space) to fire your weapons. You can shoot in multiple directions as you move.
Tips
- Eject from your buggy right before it explodesโfighting on foot leaves you extremely vulnerable, but it saves your life.
- When on foot, focus on dodging enemy fire and finding a new vehicle to hijack as quickly as possible.
