Rock N 4 is an unreleased rhythm arcade game developed by PCCW Japan and published by Jaleco in 2000. Originally intended as a continuation of the Rock’n series, this rare prototype was never officially finished or released to the public. It features classic rhythm-based gameplay where players match inputs to the beat, alongside unfinished hidden features and a selection of popular Japanese tracks.
How to Play
As a rhythm game, your goal is to hit the corresponding buttons in time with the music notes as they scroll across the screen to maintain your groove gauge. To play in the browser emulator, press Shift to insert coins and Enter to start. Use the Arrow Keys for directional inputs, and Z, X, and C for the main action buttons.
Tips
- Hidden Content: The prototype contains secret “Oni” (Demon) and “Kami” (God) difficulty modes, as well as a “Legend Course” featuring well-known songs like GET WILD and Linda Linda.
- Work in Progress: Because it is an unreleased prototype, you may encounter placeholder graphics, unused icons from earlier games, or incomplete menus while exploring.
