Game description:

Replicart is an action-puzzle game developed by Dual and published by Taito in 1988 for the Famicom Disk System (playable here as an NES game). Offering an evolved take on the classic Snake formula, the game puts you in control of a robotic snake navigating through 100 maze-like levels. You must collect all the required items in each stage to advance, growing longer with every item you consume, which constantly increases the challenge of maneuvering safely.

How to Play

Your objective is to guide the snake to collect all the cell items scattered around the stage without crashing into the walls, enemies, or your own ever-growing tail. Use the Arrow Keys (D-pad) to steer your robotic snake around the mazes. You can use Z or X (A and B buttons) to fire weapons, which is especially important during boss encounters. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Plan your route before grabbing items. As your tail gets longer, it becomes much easier to trap yourself in a dead end.
  • Unlike the MSX version, this Famicom Disk System release features unique boss battles every 10 levels where you must chase and shoot down a monster to progress. Save your reflexes for these shoot-’em-up sections.
