Qix Adventure is a puzzle game released for the Game Boy Color in 2000. It brings the classic arcade screen-capturing gameplay to a handheld format and introduces a unique quest-based Adventure mode alongside the traditional arcade experience. Players must strategically draw lines to claim territory on the screen while avoiding erratic enemies.

How to Play

In each stage, your goal is to capture a specific percentage of the playfield by drawing closed shapes.

• Move: Use the D-pad (Arrow keys) to move your marker along the edges of the field and into the open space.
• Draw: Hold A or B (Z or X) while moving to draw a line. Completing a shape and connecting it back to a safe edge captures that area.
• Start/Select: Press Start (Enter) or Select (Shift) for in-game menus.

Avoid the erratic Qix bouncing around the open space and the Sparx that travel along the edges and lines.

Tips

• Draw smaller, quicker boxes rather than attempting to capture large portions of the screen at once to minimize your exposure.
• Watch the movement patterns of the Qix closely before venturing out to draw your next line.
