Psychic World is a 1991 action platformer originally developed by Hertz and ported to the Sega Master System. You play as Cecile on a mission to rescue her sister from a horde of monsters. To succeed, you must master the ESP Booster, a unique device that lets you switch between different psychic powers on the fly to defeat enemies and bypass environmental hazards.
How to Play
Navigate through the stages and use your psychic abilities to clear obstacles and defeat bosses. Use the Arrow keys to move. Press Z and X for your primary action buttons (shoot and jump), and press Enter to pause the game or access your ESP Booster menu to swap abilities.
Tips
- Upgrade Your Arsenal: Collecting a duplicate icon for a power you already possess will upgrade it, increasing its damage output or extending its duration.
- Gain Momentum: You do not have a dedicated run button. To dash and cross large gaps, simply walk in one direction for a few seconds until you automatically speed up.
- Environmental Puzzles: Your weapons aren’t just for combat. For example, you can use ice powers to freeze water and create safe platforms to jump on.
