Peek A Boo is a 1993 arcade action game developed by Jaleco. Drawing heavy inspiration from classic brick-breaking titles like Arkanoid, it challenges players to clear patterns of bricks using a paddle and a bouncing ball, with the added twist of revealing character artwork as levels are completed.
How to Play
Your objective is to clear all the bricks on the screen without letting the ball fall past your paddle at the bottom. At the start of the game, you select a character, and successfully breaking bricks slowly reveals their hidden image. Since this is an Arcade title, use Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start. Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move your paddle back and forth, and press Z or X if you need to launch the ball.
Tips
- Pay close attention to the angle of the ball as it bounces off the edges of your paddle; hitting it with the very edge will send it flying at a sharper, faster angle.
- Prioritize catching the ball over grabbing falling power-ups. Losing a life is always worse than missing a temporary bonus.
