Released in 1991 by Probe Software, OutRun Europa takes the classic arcade racing formula and adds an espionage twist to the Game Gear. Instead of a leisurely drive, you must escape across Europe using a variety of vehiclesโincluding motorcycles, jet skis, and sports carsโwhile fending off pursuing enemy agents and dodging civilian traffic.
How to play
Your objective is to outrun your pursuers and reach the end of each stage before the timer expires. In the browser, steer your vehicle using the arrow keys. Use Z and X to accelerate, brake, and attack enemies depending on the vehicle you are driving. Press Enter to start or pause the game.
Tips
- Maneuver smoothly around civilian traffic to maintain your top speed; frequent braking wastes precious time.
- When riding the motorcycle or jet ski, proactively attack enemy agents to knock them away before they can force you off course.
