Orbitron is a classic arcade shooter developed by Signatron USA in 1982. In this unique sci-fi game, you control a spaceship moving vertically along the edge of the screen, firing horizontal missiles inward to destroy a solar system of planets orbiting a central star. Along with the orbiting bodies, you must defend against opposing enemy ships that are trying to stop you.
How to Play
Your objective is to destroy the orbiting planets and opposing ships before running out of your limited supply of missiles per round. As you progress, the planets and enemies will speed up significantly.
- Insert Coin: Shift
- Start Game: Enter
- Move Ship: Arrow Keys (Up / Down)
- Fire: Z or X
Tips
- Prioritize the fast targets: Planets closer to the central star orbit much faster; try to time your shots carefully to take them out first.
- Conserve your missiles: You only get a limited number of shots per round, so make sure each one counts.
