Operation Bear is an unofficial 1987 arcade bootleg of Taito's legendary light gun shooter, Operation Wolf. Created to bypass the original game's sophisticated hardware protection, this version delivers the same intense, military-themed arcade action. You take on the role of a lone Special Forces operative deployed into enemy territory, tasked with surviving heavily fortified zones and rescuing hostages.
How to Play
Your primary objective is to survive waves of enemy soldiers, patrol boats, and helicopters while avoiding friendly fire. Since this is an arcade light gun game adapted for the browser, aim using your mouse (or the arrow keys) and press the left mouse button (or Z) to fire your machine gun. Use the right mouse button (or X) to launch your limited supply of grenades. Press Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Manage your ammo: Your machine gun ammunition and grenades are strictly limited. Shoot the ammo magazines and grenade pickups that occasionally appear on screen to stay supplied.
- Watch your fire: Aim carefully when civilians, nurses, or hostages run across the screen. Accidentally shooting them will severely damage your health bar.
