Nazoler Land Soukangou (meaning "Puzzle Magazine Disk Nazoler Land Inaugural Issue") is the first in a series of unique "magazine disk" compilations developed by Sunsoft and released for the Famicom Disk System in 1987. Rather than a single continuous adventure, the disk serves as a menu-driven collection of eight distinct mini-games. Players can tackle various challenges ranging from "Rotation Maze" and a Mastermind-style zodiac fortune-telling game to the disk’s major feature: a first-person, grid-based dungeon crawler titled "Save Princess Momoko!".
How to Play
Because the game is a compilation, the objective changes depending on the mini-game selected from the main menu. Controls follow the standard NES layout:
- Movement / Menu Navigation: Arrow Keys (D-pad)
- Select / Action: Z (A button)
- Cancel / Back: X (B button)
- Start: Enter
- Select: Shift
Tips
- Menu Navigation: Take time to explore the main hub, as it contains all eight unique modes and mini-games.
- Save Princess Momoko!: As an early first-person dungeon crawler, mapping your progress on grid paper can be incredibly helpful to avoid getting lost in the maze.
