Nastar World (also known as Rastan Saga II) is a fantasy hack-and-slash platform arcade game developed by Taito in 1988. As the direct sequel to the original hit Rastan, you once again control a heavily armed barbarian warrior journeying through a hostile fantasy world. The game delivers classic side-scrolling action where you must carve your way through hordes of mythical monsters, avoid environmental traps, and face off against massive end-of-level bosses.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive each treacherous stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. Use the directional controls to move your warrior and crouch, while the action buttons are used to jump and swing your weapon. In the browser emulator, insert coins with the Shift key and press Enter to start. Move using the Arrow Keys, jump with X, and attack with Z.
Tips
- Use Your Shield: Your warrior can block incoming projectiles automatically when standing still or crouching. Position yourself carefully when facing ranged enemies.
- Pace Your Jumps: The platforming can be rigid; make sure to time your jumps carefully over gaps and hazards, as mid-air control is limited.
- Manage Reach: Take advantage of your weapon’s long reach to strike enemies before they get too close, especially against fast-moving targets.
