Mr. Kougar is a 1983 arcade platformer originally released by Artic Electronics (credited on the machine as ATW); this edition is an unlicensed bootleg release (Set 1) of that original game, running the same core gameplay under altered copyright text. On each screen, Kougar has to clear every dot scattered across a stack of platforms that keep drifting and shifting, all while dodging the Banalets, the enemies who patrol them.
How to Play
Move Kougar left and right along a platform with the arrow keys, and press the action button to jump up to the platform above â the joystick is horizontal-only, so timing your jumps matters. Scattered eggs offer a gamble: grab one and Kougar usually turns briefly invincible while a fairy flies up the screen clearing out enemies in her path, but some eggs instead hatch and add a fresh Banalet to the stage.
Tips
- Treat eggs as a risk, not a free bonus â grabbing one can just as easily spawn a new Banalet as it can grant invincibility.
- Because you can only steer left and right, line yourself up under the platform above and commit to the jump early rather than reacting once an enemy is already on top of you.
