Moon Cresta (SegaSA / Sonic) is an unlicensed Spanish bootleg of Nichibutsu’s 1980 arcade classic Moon Cresta, manufactured by Sonic (linked to the Spanish Sega licensee SegaSA) on cloned hardware. Under the different cabinet art, the game itself is the original fixed shooter unchanged: you pilot a multi-stage spaceship against waves of erratically-moving alien formations, with the series’ signature docking mechanic letting you attach extra modules to your ship for more firepower as you progress.
How to Play
Clear each wave of aliens, then line your ship up during the docking sequence to merge with the next stage and grow your ship — mistime the dock and you lose that stage instead of gaining it.
- Move: Left / Right Arrow Keys
- Fire: Z
- Insert Coin: Shift
- Start: Enter
Tips
- Don’t rush the dock: The docking window is brief but forgiving if you’re already centered — drift in early rather than making a last-second correction.
- Track the curves: Aliens sweep in arcs rather than straight lines, so stay mobile near mid-screen instead of hugging an edge.
