Game description:

Mega Zone (Kosuka Set 1) is a licensed arcade release of Konami’s 1983 vertical-scrolling shooter, manufactured under the Kosuka name for regional distribution. You pilot an amphibious rocket tank through rivers, forests, and fortified enemy bases, blasting both airborne and ground targets with the same weapon — a twist that set it apart from similar overhead shooters like Xevious. Branching paths let you choose your own route to the fortified Megazone stronghold at the end.

How to play: Use the arrow keys to steer your tank across the scrolling terrain, and press Z to fire at enemies in the air or on the ground. Insert coins with Shift and press Enter to start.

Tips: Watch for power pods along your route — collecting twelve of them triggers a “MEG” power-up that merges your tank with a second one, tripling its size and firepower. At forks in the road, each path leads to different enemies, so switch routes if one keeps giving you trouble.
