Game description:

Magic Brush is a 1981 arcade maze game, famously released as a bootleg of the classic title Crush Roller (also known as Make Trax). Taking inspiration from Pac-Man, you control a paintbrush with the objective of painting every path in the maze to clear the stage. You must outmaneuver two aggressive goldfish that are constantly pursuing you. Watch out for other characters that may wander into the maze and leave tracks behind, which you will need to paint over again to complete the level.

How to Play

Your goal is to completely paint the entire maze. Use the Arrow Keys to maneuver your paintbrush through the paths while avoiding the enemy goldfish. To fight back, use the paint rollers located on overpasses to temporarily squish the fish and earn extra points.

Tips

  • Use the rollers wisely: The paint rollers are your only defense. Time their use carefully when the goldfish are close behind you.
  • Prioritize the long corridors: Paint the longer, straight paths first when the fish are farther away, leaving the shorter, interconnected paths for later when you need to make quick evasive maneuvers.
  • Watch for track-leavers: Animals or people will occasionally enter the maze and leave unpainted footprints. Quickly paint over these tracks before they pile up and distract you from finishing the stage.
