Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi (Mr. Stoic Version 1.5) is a modification of Cave’s 2003 arcade bullet hell shoot ’em up, developed by romhacker trap15. Designed for players who want to focus entirely on survival and shooting, this “Arrange” mode strips away Ketsui’s famously complex proximity-based chip scoring system. Instead, it offers a purer arcade experience where points are earned strictly through destroying enemies and securing end-of-stage life and bomb bonuses.
How to Play
You pilot one of two combat helicopters through dense curtains of enemy fire, taking down military targets without the pressure of score multiplier mechanics.
Controls: Use the Arrow Keys to maneuver. Press Z to fire your main weapon (hold to lock on to enemies and slow your movement). Press X to deploy a bomb. Press Shift to insert coins and Enter to start.
Tips
- Without the chip scoring system, there is no need to risk point-blanking enemies. Prioritise safe positioning and dodging above all else.
- Conserve your bombs for unavoidable patterns, as you receive substantial point bonuses for remaining lives and bombs at the end of each stage.
